MANAMA, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait SC Basketball Club qualified on Monday in Manama for the semifinals of the West Asia Super League (WASL) after defeating Bahrain's Al-Muharraq Club 78-69.
Today's win in Manama bolsters Kuwait SC's campaign for the regional title, maintaining the team's strong momentum in the championship.
Kuwait SC is scheduled to face Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad in the semifinals on March 9 in Jeddah.
Eight clubs are participating in the current edition of the tournament: Kazma (Kuwait), Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia), Al-Muharraq (Bahrain), Shabab Al-Ahli (UAE), Kuwait SC (Kuwait), Al-Sharjah (UAE), Al-Arabi (Qatar), and Al-Ula (Saudi Arabia). (end)
