Oman renews support dialogue for solutions between Washington, Tehran

MUSCAT, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- Oman on Friday renewed its vow to continue support for dialogue aimed at reaching consensual solutions between the United States and Iran, as the two sides began an indirect round of talks in Muscat under the Sultanate's hosting of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file.
The Oman News Agency (ONA) quoted Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of regional countries supporting the talks.
Al Busaidi reaffirmed Oman's commitment to fostering dialogue, bridging positions between the parties, and working with various partners to reach political, consensus-based solutions aligned with shared objectives and aspirations.
The agency said Al Busaidi is holding separate consultations with the Iranian and US delegations, focusing on creating appropriate conditions to resume diplomatic and technical negotiations, underscoring their importance amid the parties' keenness to ensure their success in support of sustainable security and stability.
Iran is represented in the talks by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while the United States is represented by Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, alongside Jared Kushner.(end) tma.hs
