Kuwait welcomes agreement between Syria gov't, SDF

KUWAIT, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry welcomed Saturday the ceasefire agreement reached by the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which aims at incorporating the latter's bodies into the Syrian state's institutions.
In a press release, the ministry hoped that this agreement would contribute to enhancing peace, security and stability in Syria, thus fulfilling the Syrian people's aspirations and promoting their national unity.
It echoed Kuwait's utter support for all efforts exerted by the Syrian government to safeguard Syria's sovereignty over all its territories and to maintain its territorial integrity and unity.
It also commended all Syrian parties' compliance with U.S. efforts that have produced this agreement. (end) aa.mt
