The drills, which were supported by the Royal Army of Oman and its Air Force, included several training programs, practical applications, and the exchange of experiences between the crews of participating ships, the Omani army said in a press release.
The drills were overseen by high-ranking officials, including Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman Rear Admiral Saif Al-Rahbi, and Chief of Staff of the Saudi Navy Forces, Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Ghareeb.
They featured launching surface-to-air missiles and live fire on hypothetical naval targets, which demonstrated the high levels and operational efficiency of participating forces, according to the release. (end) nsa.mt
