DUBAI, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- Deputy Director General at the Public Authority for Industry, Meshari Al-Munawer, said on Monday Kuwait's participation in Gulfood 2026 supports national factories and strengthens Kuwaiti products in regional and global markets.
Al-Munawer told KUNA that the participation aligns with Kuwait's industrial strategic plan, as the Authority seeks to enable national factories to expand abroad and establish direct links with importers, distributors, and commercial partners worldwide.
He noted that Kuwait is participating with a unified national industrial pavilion featuring several local food-sector companies, reflecting the diversity, quality, and competitiveness of Kuwaiti industries at a leading global event.
He explained that this provides access to the latest technologies in food manufacturing, packaging, and innovation, positively contributing to product development and improved production efficiency.
Meanwhile, Kuwait's Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Khaled Al-Zaabi, told KUNA that Kuwait's participation reflects the state's commitment to supporting national industries and enhancing the presence of Kuwaiti products internationally.
Al-Zaabi added that it reflects the effective coordination and cooperation among relevant entities.
He noted that the Consulate General of Kuwait in Dubai places great importance on providing necessary facilitations for official participations.
On the sidelines, the Public Authority for Industry honored Consul Al-Zaabi in appreciation of his role and efforts in supporting Kuwait's participation in Gulfood 2026.
Gulfood, the world's largest food and beverage event, opened Monday in Dubai and runs until January 30, attracting more than 8,500 exhibitors showcasing around 1.5 million products from 195 countries. (end)
