CAIRO, Jan 24 (KUNA) -- In an annual cultural event, Cairo International Book Fair comes back with a new look, bespeaking that books are still capable of bringing together creators, thinkers, and the public in a space where languages, cultures, ideas and knowledge merge.
With its theme: "Whoever Stops Reading for an Hour Falls Behind for Centuries", this year's edition, which kick-started on January 21, is deemed the largest ever in view of participation, activities and cultural and intellectual content.
Drawing a total of 1,457 publishers from 83 countries, the fair has so far attracted more than a million visitors, reflecting cultural diversity in its cultural, intellectual and artistic programs. (end)
