KUWAIT, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's interior ministry undersecretary Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib held talks on Monday with officials and department chiefs taking part in a pan-Gulf Arab military drill later this month in Qatar.
The exercise is part of efforts to ratchet up security and military cooperation among Gulf Arab states, in line with the directives of Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, according to a ministry statement.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) drill, called, "Gulf Arab Security 4," also aims to boost the level of preparedness in dealing with any security emergencies that may arise, added the statement. (end)
