Bahrain defeat China 40-29 in 22nd Asian Handball Championship
KUWAIT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's national handball team defeated Chinese team on Sunday by a score of 40-29 in Group Two of the 22nd Asian Handball Championship, which kicked off on January 15 and runs until January 29 at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex in Kuwait.
Bahrain delivered a strong performance and quickly took control of the match, leaving the Chinese team with few solutions. Bahraini player Jassim Khamis was named man of the match.
Sunday's fixtures also saw Iraq defeat Jordan 26-21 and South Korea beat Oman 29-24.
The Asian Championship continues Monday with matches featuring Australia against Saudi Arabia, India against Hong Kong, Kuwait against the UAE, and Iran against Japan. (end)
