One Palestinian killed in Al-Khalil as Israeli occupation raids continue across West Bank

RAMALLAH, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian was martyred after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the city of Al-Khalil, south of the West Bank, said the Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs Sunday.
In a press statement, the authority said that Shaker Al-Jaabari, 58, was martyred on Saturday evening after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in Al-Khalil, adding that his body was withheld by the occupation authorities. It noted that the Palestinian Ministry of Health had been officially informed of his martyrdom.
Local Palestinian sources had reported on Saturday evening that Israeli occupation forces shot a Palestinian while he was inside his vehicle, then detained him while wounded, preventing ambulance crews from reaching him.
Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank early on Sunday, carrying out raids and search operations in the Old City.
Local sources in Nablus said the occupation forces sent military reinforcements, besieged a house and arrested two Palestinians. (end) nq.aa
