GAZA, Jan 6 (KUNA) -- The health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced Tuesday, that two Palestinians were killed and several others injured as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' continued violation of the truce agreement and their direct targeting of displaced persons' tents south of the Strip.
The health authorities said in their daily statistical report that Gaza Strip hospitals received, over the past 24 hours, two fatalities, one of whom was recovered from under the rubble, in addition to ten injuries of varying severity.
They added that the death toll since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11 has reached 424 killed, while the number of injured has risen to 1,199, alongside the recording of 685 recovery cases.
They also noted that the cumulative toll since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023, has risen to 71,391 killed and 171,279 injured, amid the continued deterioration of humanitarian and medical conditions in the Strip. (end)
