Turkish Pres. discusses ties, regional developments with US counterpart

ANKARA, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his US counterpart Donald Trump discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues on Monday.
A statement by the Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications indicated that the discussion occurred during a phone call between the two leaders.
It pointed out that the two presidents mull bilateral ties and cooperation in the defense industry as well as efforts exerted to increase trade exchanged to the targeted level.
President Erdogan and President Trump discussed regional and international issues, primarily the situations in the Gaza Strip and Venezuela. (end) aas.ibi
