CAIRO, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his Djiboutian counterpart Ismail Omar Guelleh stressed Monday the significance of concerted consultation, coordination and diplomatic efforts to defend Somalia's unity, independence and sovereignty.
This came during a meeting between both leaders in Djibouti, during which they commended all sisterly and friendly countries which have objected to any attempt to divide Somalia, according to Somalia's official news agency.
They also agreed to promote diplomatic consultation and cooperation between Somalia and Djibouti for maintaining regional stability.
The Somali president thanked Djibouti's president, government and people for their "fraternal and leading" role in standing side by side with Somalia, particularly their continued support for safeguarding Somalia's unity and independence. (end)
