Saudi Arabia condemns "terrorist" blast at Syrian mosque

RIYADH, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia expressed on Friday its condemnation and denunciation of the "terrorist" blast that targeted a mosque in the Syrian city of Homs and left some casualties.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry affirmed the Kingdom's categorical rejection of terror and extremism, and the targeting of mosques and worship places as well as petrifying the innocent.
It voiced solidarity with Syria and support to the Syrian government's efforts seeking to consolidate security and stability, according to the statement.
In addition, the Kingdom offered heartfelt sympathy to the relatives of the victims, and Syria's government and people, wishing a rapid recovery to those wounded and permanent security and safety to Syria.
Earlier today, Syria's health ministry announced that the bombing occurred inside Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque has left so far eighth mortalities and 18 injuries. (end) kns.maa.hm
