GAZA, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Health Ministry said Saturday that two Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces in Jenin governorate of the West Bank.
In a press statement, the Ministry said that 22-year-old Ahmad Zayoud died from a gunshot wound to the chest sustained during an Israeli raid on the town of Silat Al-Harithiya, west of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The raid followed an Israeli incursion into the town, during which live ammunition and stun grenades were fired at Palestinians.
The statement added that the second victim was 16-year-old Rayan Abu Mualla, who died from wounds sustained when he was shot by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin.
The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town and fired live ammunition directly at Abu Mualla, preventing Red Crescent paramedics from reaching him and leaving him to bleed to death before seizing his body.
The number of Palestinians killed in Jenin since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on the city and its refugee camp has now risen to 62 people. (end)
