KUWAIT, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- Arab and foreign ambassadors to Kuwait congratulated on Saturday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the second anniversary of assumption of power.
In separate statements, the ambassadors extolled His Highness the Amir's wisdom, leading vision and key role in boosting Kuwait's position at the regional and international levels.
Tunisian Ambassador Mohammad Bouadli congratulated His Highness the Amir on this great occasion, referring to political, economic and development achievements made in Kuwait over the past two years that showed the clear vision and good organization, and embody Kuwait's leadership keenness on enhancing the path of reform and sustainable development in a manner that aligns with Kuwaitis' aspirations.
Tunisia is looking forward to pursuing coordination and consultation with Kuwait in varied issues of mutual interest and enhancing joint Arab action in a way that contributes to backing stability and security in the region, he added.
UK's Ambassador Qudsi Rasheed extended congratulations to His Highness the Amir, lauding his rule, clear vision and unwavering commitment to maintaining Kuwait's stability and its national unity.
The Kuwait-UK relations are deep-rooted, and the partnership will pursue prosperity under the leadership of His Highness the Amir through boosting cooperation in diplomatic, defense, trade and investment fields, he noted.
Russia's Ambassador Vladimir Zheltov sent congratulations to His Highness the Amir, lauding Kuwait's balanced role on regional and international levels, and its foreign policy based on dialogue and clam diplomacy.
Zheltov expressed his country's high esteem to this policy whichhas strengthened Kuwait's international position, referring to keenness of Moscow to develop ties in a manner that serves the two friendly countries' interests.
Furthermore, the Ambassador of France Olivier Gauvin also extended his highest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir, noting that His Highness's visit to Paris in July 2024, which coincided with the celebrations of the French National Day, embodied the depth of the historic relations of friendship between the two countries and the foundations of mutual trust, respect, and shared appreciation upon which they are built.
Gauvin affirmed his country's unwavering commitment to continuing to strengthen bilateral relations with Kuwait in various fields, stressing the shared vision that brings the two countries together in supporting regional stability, security, multilateralism, peace, and international solidarity.

Additionally, Italy's Ambassador Lorenzo Morini extended his highest congratulations and sincerest best wishes to His Highness the Amir, commending the deep-rooted historic relations of friendship that unite the two friendly peoples and the two countries' keenness to continue achieving shared goals across various vital sectors.

The Representative of UN Secretary-General and the Resident Coordinator in the State of Kuwait highly congratulated His Highness the Amir, extolling His Highness's wisdom and leadership, and Kuwait's steadfast approach in supporting peace, development, and humanitarian work.
The UN and Kuwait are marking the passing of 62 years of their deep-rooted firm partnership based on constructive diplomacy and pluralism as well as generous humanitarian giving, she affirmed.
On December 20, His Highness the Amir took office to be the 17th ruler of Kuwait after a journey full of several achievements over more than six decades during which he took military and security positions before being named as Crown Prince, in addition to accompanying to the country's rulers or representing them in several official visits and duties.
