Palestinian teen martyred by Israeli settler gunfire in W. Bank

GAZA, Dec 16 (KUNA) -- The municipality of the town Teqoa in the occupied West Bank announced on Tuesday the martyrdom of a 16-year-old Palestinian boy after he was shot by an Israeli settler in the town located in southeast Bethlehem. The shooting occurred immediately after the funeral procession of another boy who was martyred yesterday, when a settler opened fire on the mourners.
The victim was killed on the spot, mayor Mohammad Al-Badan said in a press statement carried by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
He added that the town lost two children in less than 24 hours amid a rise in settler attacks against civilian residents, calling on the international community to intervene urgently to ensure the protection of Palestinians and to stop repeated violations.
Meanwhile, the occupation continues its daily violations against Palestinians, raiding many towns and refugee camps in recent weeks, resulting in the arrest of dozens of Palestinians during these incursions, carried out with the support of large military forces. (pickup previous) wab.onm
