Mauritanian, Arab fund sign USD 1.4 billion accords to finance projects

RABAT, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- Mauritania and the Kuwait-headquartered Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) on Monday signed two accords worth USD 1.4 billion for road and water ventures.
The Mauritanian Ministry of Economy and Development said in a statement that one of the agreements deals with financing projects for building two key roads.
The second one, worth USD 300,000, aims at funding projects of water transfer and storage in the capital Nuakshot.
The agreements were signed by the Mauritanian Minister of Economy and Development, Abdallah Cheikh-Sidia, and Fozi Haneef, the AFESD chairman. (end) mry.rk
