India, Austria discuss bilateral, regional, global issues

NEW DELHI, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- India and Austria on Friday held talks on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that as part of the 8th India-Austria Foreign Office Consultations held in Vienna, the two sides undertook a comprehensive review of the entire gamut of bilateral relations. "Views were exchanged on India-EU relations as well as key regional and global developments of mutual interest. The discussions covered a wide range of areas, including political engagement, trade and economic cooperation, science and technology, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people ties," the statement said. Cooperation between the two sides in international and multilateral fora was also discussed.
Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs Sibi George led the Indian delegation while the Austrian side was led by Secretary General for Foreign Affairs, Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs Nikolaus Marschik. (end) atk.rk
