(KRCS) Chairman Khaled Al-Mughames with International Organization for Migration's (IOM) delegation
KUWAIT, Dec 8 (KUNA) -- The International Organization for Migration's (IOM) Chief of Mission in Kuwait Mazen AboulHosn said Monday that Kuwait plays a leading humanitarian role, becoming a global hub admired for its distinguished efforts assisting vulnerable communities across multiple crisis-affected regions.
He affirmed to KUNA, during his meeting with Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Chairman Khaled Al-Mughames, that discussions reviewed ongoing IOM projects in several countries and explored enhanced cooperation in humanitarian assistance, health, and education to ensure broader and more effective outreach.
He noted that Kuwait is among IOM's principal supporters, explaining that several cooperation agreements were signed recently and that coordination is ongoing to establish new partnerships in Syria, Yemen, and Sudan to strengthen joint humanitarian efforts.
For his part, Al-Mughames said in a similar statement that KRCS continues reinforcing its regional and international humanitarian role by supporting vulnerable groups and building strong partnerships with global organizations to ensure sustainable humanitarian outcomes.
Al-Mughames added that the Society prioritizes expanding cooperation with UN agencies and specialized organizations to enhance the quality of relief, health, and development programs and further consolidate Kuwait's deeply rooted humanitarian presence across all major fields of global humanitarian action.
The meeting was held at KRCS headquarters in the presence of the Organization's senior officials. (end)
