KUWAIT, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya and Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar on Monday held a virtual meeting with Deemah Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO).
The two ministers discussed with Al-Yahya cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the organization.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the two ministers and the DCO secretary general explored the close cooperation, discussed issues related to digital transformation, means of boosting partnership among the organization's members in various spheres.
They in particular addressed means of boosting and exchanging expertise, building potentials in the digital economy, information technology, employing technology in enterprises that back up concepts of digital diplomacy, sharpening skills especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and sustainable development.
The DCO is a global multilateral body launched in November 2020, with aim of enabling digital prosperity for all. Its members include the State of Kuwait, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Djibouti, Gambia, Ghana, Greece, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Rwanda and Saudi Arabia. (end)
