TOKYO, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on Monday urged Iran to immediately resume full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) over its nuclear program.
This came during a phone call between the Japanese foreign minister and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, said the Japanese Foreign Ministry in a press release.
During their 30-minute telephone conversation, both sides vowed to continue close communication at various levels between the two countries for the peace and stability of the Middle Eastern region, it said.
Motegi emphasized the importance of the early resumption of talks between the US and Iran toward a resolution of Iranآ’s nuclear issue through dialogue, according to a statement released from the ministry. (end)
