EU foreign policy chief: This week may be "pivotal" for Ukraine war

BRUSSELS, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas affirmed on Monday that the current week may witness decisive diplomatic developments in the efforts to end the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Kallas told reporters ahead of the EU defence ministersآ’ meeting that "It could be a pivotal week for diplomacy. We heard yesterday that the talks in America were difficult but productive. We donآ’t know the result yet, but I will talk to the defence minister of Ukraine as well as foreign minister of Ukraine today." The European official added that the EU is closely following the ongoing diplomatic efforts, stressing the importance of coordination with the Ukrainian side and with international partners during this sensitive stage.
