EU, Chile call for complete end to Gaza conflict

BRUSSELS, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- The European Union and Chile called on all parties to continue negotiations on the next phases of the Comprehensive Plan to end the Gaza conflict, fully commit to its implementation, and refrain from any actions that could jeopardize the agreement.
In a joint statement issued on Thursday following the meeting of the EU-Chile Joint Council and the Joint Trade Council, both parties stressed the urgent need to ensure safe and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid and to provide immediate relief to the humanitarian crisis in the Strip, reaffirming their commitment to supporting efforts for Gaza's reconstruction and recovery.
The EU and Chile also condemned the escalation of violence in the West Bank, reaffirming their steadfast support for achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, respect for international law, protection of human rights, and full adherence to the principles of the UN Charter.
Both sides welcomed the agreement reached on the first phase of the Comprehensive Plan to end the Gaza conflict, praising the diplomatic efforts led by the United States and supported by Egypt, Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Tأ¼rkiye, and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit held on 13 October 2025.
