KUWAIT, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Under the patronage and attendance of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) celebrated 25 years of its executive program partnership with Harvard Kennedy School.
The event, held at the Scientific Center last night, gathered senior leaders, officials, and decision makers from program alumni across public and private sectors, alongside an academic delegation, creating a forum for dialogue, networking, and shared strategic experiences.
In his address, the Prime Minister praised KFAS as a national platform supporting research, innovation, and capacity building, emphasizing the Harvard Kennedy partnership as a strategic investment in Kuwaiti leadership through modern scientific tools for policymaking and governance.
He highlighted how the program equips national leaders with advanced methodologies in leadership, decision making, and public policy analysis, enabling them to respond effectively to rapid global transformations in economics, governance, and emerging technological sectors including artificial intelligence.
KFAS also reviewed its broader international academic network, including London Business School, National University of Singapore, Wharton, Cambridge, LSE, and ESMT Berlin, noting these collaborations have strengthened knowledge transfer and benefited more than 1,500 participants.
The foundation explained that Kuwait's Program at Harvard, launched in 2000, has produced 770 graduates, 450 of whom occupy leadership positions, while fostering joint research, fellowships, and academic exchanges between Kuwaiti and Harvard scholars.
Concluding its statement, KFAS reaffirmed its commitment to deepening and expanding the partnership with Harvard Kennedy School, supporting Kuwait's vision for a diversified knowledge-based economy, and strengthening its regional and global scientific presence under the nation's wise leadership.
