TUNIS, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) announced Wednesday the launch of a specialized training program in Aden Governorate to strengthen inclusive education and empower Yemeni women.
ALECSO said in a statement that the program aims to enhance the skills of educators in early childhood institutions and inclusive primary schools, providing best practices to ensure fair and comprehensive education for all, including persons with disabilities.
It added that the program also seeks to build the competencies of staff in Yemen's school inclusion sector, improving their ability to manage inclusive classrooms and apply modern practices in educating special-needs groups.
The organization explained that the program includes workshops designed to enhance leadership, creativity, and digital skills among girls in line with ALECSO's vision to empower women and prepare a generation able to contribute to national development.
It noted the participation of a team of specialized experts and around 60 educators, teachers, early childhood directors, primary school administrators, and prominent female leaders.
Inclusive education refers to an educational system aimed at ensuring social justice and equal opportunities for all students, including persons with disabilities and groups most vulnerable to exclusion. (end)
