KUWAIT, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior announced on Monday that several vehicles were crushed as part of strict measures taken against their drivers for committing serious traffic violations.
The ministry said in a press statement that concerned authorities sent the vehicles to a metal recycling facility after the General Directorate of Traffic completed all necessary legal procedures.
It added that the action reflects a firm approach adopted by the ministry toward traffic behaviors that threaten public safety or disrupt road security, within a comprehensive plan aimed at protecting lives and reducing dangerous conduct.
The ministry stressed that the law will be applied against anyone who endangers others, noting that inspection campaigns will continue, and urged all motorists to act responsibly and follow traffic officers' instructions to protect themselves and the public. (end)
