Minister of Information meets Arab Esports Federation officials

KUWAIT, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi on Thursday met Arab Esports Federation President Prince Faisal bin Bandar and a delegation, joined by Kuwait Esports Federation officials.
In a statement, the Public Authority for Sport emphasized Kuwaitآ’s commitment to strengthening Gulf cooperation in esports, supporting initiatives to develop this promising sector, empowering national talented youth, and enhancing their presence in regional and international events.
he Authority has made developing esports one of the key pillars of its new strategy, focusing on expanding cooperation with local, Gulf, and international federations, developing specialized infrastructure, and hosting major global tournaments to bolster Kuwaitآ’s position as a regional hub for high-level sporting events.
The meeting participants praised the Arab Esports Federation's leading role in organizing and advancing this rapidly growing sport and commended the Saudi Esports Federation's efforts to support innovation and technological advancement in the sector.
The participants also discussed areas of cooperation in developing esports infrastructure, exchanging expertise, and organizing joint tournaments and events to support the growth of the sector and meet the aspirations of youth across GCC countries. This visit forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance joint Gulf action, strengthen cooperation among national esports federations, and support initiatives that empower youth and advance their digital and creative capabilities.
