KUWAIT, Nov 11 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Tuesday examined the project site of the new Kuwait International Airport Terminal (T-2).
His Highness the Prime Minister toured the venture site sections on margins of the weekly Cabinet session, held at T-2 terminal.
Accompanied by ministers during the tour, His Highness the Prime Minister was briefed by Minister of Public Works Dr. Nora Al-Mashaan about the mega project.
He has remarked that it is one of Kuwait's mega development projects and has stressed on the necessity that all government departments coordinate with the Ministry of Public Works to handle any emerging hindrances to press ahead with the execution according to schedules.
His Highness the Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude to Minister Al-Mashaan, President of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, managers of the project, competent authorities namely the ministries of interior, financial affairs, the Audit Bureau, Fatwa and Legislation department and the Central Agency for Public Tenders for their role in speeding up the venture execution.
For her part, Minister Al-Mashaan said the venture envisages establishing, furnishing and maintaining the new passenger terminal, building, furnishing and maintaining service buildings, roads leading to the new terminal and parking lots, in addition to identical works for the parking lots, runways and the service facilities.
Sheikh Humoud also gave his take about the authority's efforts and coordination with the project stakeholders. (end)
