ABU DHABI, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah affirmed the critical importance of global cooperation in energy, scientific research and advanced technologies, to meet geopolitical and technological challenges.
He made the remarks during his participation in the opening of ADIPEC Exhibition & Conference in Abu Dhabi, which focused on addressing rising global energy demand, securing supply chains, stabilizing markets and making the energy ecosystem more flexible and solution-oriented. He emphasized that the current phase in the global energy sector demands increased coordination and integration of visions and policies amid regional and international challenges, so as to safeguard Kuwait's interests as well as those of the Gulf region and the wider world through dialogue and cooperation in energy, research and technology.
Sheikh Nimer Al-Sabah reaffirmed Kuwait's commitment to support all developmental efforts and initiatives to strengthen the energy and oil industry under the guidance of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
This commitment is being implemented through a practical and realistic approach to ensure energy security, diversify sources, attract capital, open up, carry out large-scale projects utilizing the latest smart technologies, enhance growth and competitiveness, apply governance principles and pursue ambitious partnerships, he added.
Highlighting Kuwait's participation in ADIPEC 2025 - the world's largest energy event under the theme "Energy. Intelligence. Impact."- he noted that the four-day event brings together more than 45 ministers and over 250 chief executives and policymakers, amid rising demand for energy to support artificial intelligence and emerging economies, as well as the global shift in the energy system.
Sheikh Dr. Nimer Al-Sabah visited the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) pavilion among the national exhibitors participating in ADIPEC 2025, where he was briefed on the company's latest development projects and advanced technologies in exploration, production and operational efficiency enhancement.
He affirmed that the company's participation in this global event reflects Kuwait's vital role as one of the world's key oil producers and highlights its efforts to keep pace with digital transformation and smart-energy systems, while adopting advanced solutions to enhance production reliability and resource sustainability.
