Kuwait interior security forces carry out operation against offenders

KUWAIT, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- Forces of the Ministry of Interior on Friday carried out a security operation in the southern region of Khairan, concluding with 467 traffic breaches and detention of 16 offenders and fugitives.
The MoI said in a statement it was carried out upon instructions by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, supervised by the assistant undersecretary for public security affairs, Major General Hamed Al-Dawas and commanded by a number of the security sectors' chiefs.
The statement affirmed that the campaign resulted in dealing with 467 traffic breaching cases.
The personnel held ten individuals in custody, detained a fugitive, an individual for violating the residency law, referred three persons who carried no licenses to the competent authorities, arrested a juvenile, seized two vehicles and a motorcycle and impounded 20 vehicles and motorcycles.
