KUWAIT, Oct 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Touristic Enterprises Company inaugurated on Wednesday the renovated Messila Beach, an internal tourist destination forecast to draw people of various ages round the year.
The company's chief executive officer Anwar Al-Hlailah said in a statement during the inauguration ceremony the faced-lifted beach was one of the projects to renew the tourist facilities in the country.
It is a sample of the cooperation between the private and public sectors, he said, indicating that a company, Upac, would manage and operate the site, situated on a 70,000-sq-m location, encompassing four swimming pools, children play grounds, green spots and various other facilities.
Upac Hamad Malallah said the venture is a fruit of the partnership, affirming the company's approach to boost the "neo Kuwait vision 2035" through the face-lifting of tourist destinations, backing up the local economy and improving the quality of livelihood.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor Sheikh Sabah Badr Al-Salem Al-Sabah, state officials, representatives of the Touristic company and Upac. (end) aib.rk
