He reiterated Kuwait's firm belief that the promotion of human dignity is the cornerstone of any genuine and sustainable development.
He added that Kuwait's active presence across various UN agencies reflects its deep commitment to international cooperation in humanitarian health environmental and economic fields.
Ambassador Al-Hayen further noted that the international community continues to recognize Kuwait's distinguished role in humanitarian and relief work which earned it the designation as the "Humanitarian Center" and its late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the title of "Humanitarian Leader" by the United Nations.
He emphasized that humanitarian action remains a shared language between Kuwait and the United Nations and a key pillar of Kuwait's foreign policy. "The United Nations continues to represent the broadest framework for maintaining international peace and security addressing global challenges and assisting populations affected by conflicts and natural disasters," He said.
Al-Hayen also reaffirmed Kuwait's support of the Palestinian cause, stressing that a just and lasting peace in the Middle East can only be achieved through an end to the occupation and by enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate right to self-determination and establish an independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
