Gaza hospitals receive bodies of five martyrs who fell over past hours

GAZA, Oct 22 9KUNA) -- Corpses of five martyrs and five injured Gazans were admitted at the strip hospitals over the past 24 hours, the local medical authorities reported.
They confirmed that the toll of martyrs since early October 2023 has hit 68,234 martyrs plus 170,373 injury cases.
Since the truce declaration on October 11, 2025, number of the martyrs has reached 88 and the injured 315, while paramedics and rescuers retrieved 436 bodies from under heaps of rubble throughout the enclave.
The authorities confirmed that 30 human bodies, of unknown identity, had been handed over to the Gazan authorities, bringing the number of delivered corpses to 195.
Moreover, they revealed that identity of 57 martyrs of the delivered corpses had been determined by next of kin.
Earlier today, war-haggard Gazans held a funeral procession for 54 martyrs, corpses of whom have been handed over by the Israeli occupation as part of the prisoners' swap accord.
The local health authorities said in a statement on Wednesday that the martyrs' bodies had been delivered recently, however there were no information about their names, identities and how they had lost their lives.
Distressed Gazans had taken part in their funeral and burial at Al-Shuhadaa cemetery in Deir Al-Balah.
