Kuwaiti Minister reaffirms support to regional, int'l for water security

By Fawaz Esmairan JEDDAH, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait remains committed to supporting and exchanging views on regional and international efforts to protect water security and environmental sustainability, Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem said on Wednesday.
In a statement to KUNA on the sidelines of the fifth session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers Responsible for Water in the OIC Member States in Jeddah, Minister Al-Mukhaizeem emphasized Kuwait's focus on diversifying its resources, including water, as part of its Vision 2035 development plan.
The conference began its three days of discussions on enhancing collaboration in water resource management under the theme "From Vision to Impact." (end) fn.gta
