GAZA, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- The Gaza government media office said on Tuesday that 986 out of 6,600 humanitarian aid trucks have entered the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire agreement came into effect.
The office affirmed that there was a severe shortage of basic items such as cooking gas, which is used to prepare their meals.
The daily number of trucks entering did not exceed 89 compared to 600 as agreed upon in the ceasefire and also represented the actual minimum, it said, stressing that Gazans were in need of more supplies and fuel.
The Israeli occupation is still hindering the entry of humanitarian aid on the pretext that Hamas did not deliver the remains of hostages to the occupation.
The Gaza government office had documented 80 violations of the ceasefire by the Israeli occupation, which left scores of Palestinians dead and injured. (end)
