Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani
DOHA, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said Tuesday that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestinian territories and reiterated Doha's condemnation of all Israeli violations in Palestine.
Speaking at the opening of the first regular session of the second legislative term of the Shura Council's 54th annual session, he outlined Qatar's plans and foreign priorities, and reviewed the country's regional and international positions, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
He said Qatar's sovereignty was violated by Iran and the Israelis occupation, noting that both attacks were widely condemned, and that Qatar emerged stronger.
He accused Israel of breaking international rules by targeting a mediating state and attempting to assassinate members of a negotiating delegation, calling it "state terrorism."
Qatar's mediation and humanitarian efforts have strengthened its global standing, he added, stressing continued work towards Qatar National Vision 2030. (end)
