Acting Director-General of Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry Shamlan Al-Jahidly, lead the participating Kuwaiti delegation
RABAT, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait chaired the 68th meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) in Rabat on Monday, drawing delegations of 12 Arab countries, including State of Kuwait.
Speaking to KUNA, Acting Director-General of Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry Shamlan Al-Jahidly, who led the participating Kuwaiti delegation, said this two-day edition focuses on a pan-Arab industrial integration strategy, which is designed to overhaul the Arab industrial and mining sector and boost the competitive edge of Arab industrial products.
He pointed out the great role played by AIDSMO in promoting Arab coordination and integration in industry, mining and standardization as vital sector for sustainable developments.
For his part, AIDSMO's Director-General Adel Al-Sager, also speaking to KUNA, said the organization is eager to establish a pan-Arab industrial basis capable of keeping abreast of rapid global changes.
He added that the organization is seeking to include modern technologies in its programs and initiatives, including Arab platforms for industrial and mining products, minerals and industrial indicators and a smart digital library. (end)
