Kuwait welcomes ceasefire agreement between Pakistan, Afghanistan

KUWAIT, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait welcomed the agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan on a ceasefire and the establishment of a mechanism to consolidate lasting peace and stability between the two sides, said the Foreign Ministry on Monday.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry affirmed that the agreement would hopefully put an end to tensions, commending efforts by Qatar and Turkiye in hosting negotiations that led to the ceasefire.
It emphasized that the language of dialogue and diplomacy must prevail to resolve disputes and boost regional and international stability. (end) ae.gta
