NEW DELHI, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Sameeh Johar Hayat affirmed that the first round of political consultations between Kuwait and Bangladesh foreign ministries reflects the deep-rooted relations between the two countries.
Speaking to KUNA following the talks with Secretary of Bangladesh's Ministry of Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Isalm, and senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.
Hayat said the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere as part of the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements between the two ministries.
The consultation touched on various areas of cooperation including political, military, security, economic, cultural, commercial, and investment relations, as well as coordination in international forums and matters related to skilled labor exchange.
The talks also addressed cooperation in higher education, scientific research, civil aviation, oil and renewable energy, industry, and food security, as well as issues related to healthcare and medical services.

The consultations were held in line with the directives of Kuwait's leadership to promote high-level visits and preserve the historic Kuwait-Bangladesh partnership that has long linked both countries.
They also discussed broadening manpower cooperation and finalizing pending Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in line with Kuwait Vision 2035, while stressing the need to further boost trade and investment, particularly in energy, and infrastructure.
Hayat said the meeting concluded with both countries reaffirming their commitment to cooperate in multilateral fora, as well as developing their bilateral relations in all fields.
