KUWAIT, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Public Relations Manager Shamael Al-Sharikh said Sunday that KPC's support for World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) branch in Kuwait (WRO-KUWAIT) aligns with its institutional values centered on innovation and human capital development.
This came during Al-Sharikh's speech in a press conference organized by the corporation, held at its headquarters, in cooperation with WRO-KUWAIT, on the occasions of lunching a program to support the schools participating in the competition, funded and sponsored by KPC.
Al-Sharikh said that this partnership represents a strategic step towards empowering Kuwaiti youth and encouraging creativity in key future sectors such as artificial intelligence and digital technology.
She added that KPC's support for WRO-KUWAIT includes launching a program to equip four schools across Kuwait with modern robotics labs and training tools, enabling students to develop creative thinking and innovation skills.
For her part, official organizer of WRO-KUWAIT Hamidah Rahimi said the organization aims to elevate Kuwait's global standing in educational robotics, noting that this year's strategy focuses on engaging schools and parents in the competition.
Rahimi highlighted the launch of Kuwait's first national robotics workshop, supported by KPC, with over 250 participants from various nationalities and age groups.
She praised KPC's continuous support and sponsorship since WRO-KUWAIT started organizing the seasons of the Olympic competition in Kuwait, indicating that the conditions for participation in the upcoming World Robotics Olympiad - Kuwait competition will be announced on January 15. (end)
