Turkiye welcomes ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan, Pakistan

ANKARA, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Sunday welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In a statement, the Ministry hoped that the agreement, reached with Qatari co-mediation, would contribute to enhancing security and peace in the region.
It lauded the efforts by Qatar and affirmed that Turkiye would continue to maintain peace between the two countries.
The agreement followed discussions hosted in Doha on Saturday between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with the support of both Qatar and Turkiye. (end) oas.gta
