CAIRO, Oct 17 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has increased the prices of all types of octane gasoline, diesel, and compressed natural gas (CNG) for cars, by 10.5 and 13 percent, as of Friday morning.
In a press release, the ministry said the Automatic Fuel Pricing Committee has decided to raise 95 octane gasoline to EGP 21.00 (USD 0.441) per liter from EGP 19, 92 octane gasoline to EGP 19.25 (USD 0.404) per liter compared to EGP 17.25, 80 octane gasoline to EGP 17.75 (USD 0.367) per liter compared to EGP 15.25.
The committee has also increased the rice of diesel to EGP 17.50 (USD 0.367) per liter from EGP 15.50, according to the release.
This is the second time the Egyptian government has hiked fuel prices in 2025. (end)
