MOSCOW, Oct 14 (KUNA) -- The Kremlin said on Tuesday that the agreements and understandings expected to be reached during the Russian Energy Week 2025 Forum will contribute to the development of Russia's fuel and energy complex and strengthen international partnerships in a way that serves the interests of countries and peoples.
In an official statement, the Kremlin explained that Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a greeting message to participants and guests of the forum, which will be held in Moscow from October 15 to 17.
In the statement, President Putin stressed the importance of this international event, which brings together representatives from the business community, academia, politics, and experts from around the world to discuss current challenges facing the global fuel and energy sector.
Putin noted that modern energy is a dynamic, high-tech industry that requires the latest industrial and scientific advances.
He called for focusing on key practical issues, including the introduction of cutting-edge equipment and digital solutions in the electricity, oil, gas, and coal sectors, as well as supporting the energy transition in national economies.
The statement added that leading Russian and international companies in the manufacturing and services sectors will showcase their achievements, final products, and flagship projects during the forum, helping to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise between countries.
President Putin expressed confidence that the active participation of delegates in plenary sessions will support efforts to develop the fuel and energy sector and strengthen international partnerships based on mutual benefit.
The Kremlin also recalled that, during a meeting on October 4 focused on developing the energy sector, Putin emphasized the importance of ensuring sustainable gas supplies to the Russian Far East as one of the region's key development goals, amid projections of growing demand for natural gas in the coming years.
