Kuwait Army Chief confers Colonel rank on 35th batch of officers

KUWAIT, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan, conferred on Monday, the rank of Colonel on the 35th batch of officers, in implementation of the Amiri Decree issued by His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
In a press statement, the General Staff of the Army said that Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan conveyed to the promoted officers the congratulations of the Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, wishing that this promotion would be an incentive for them to exert even more effort and dedication in serving homeland.
The ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshal Al-Sabah, members of the Military Defense Council, and a number of senior commanding officers in the army. (end) hmd.onm
