173 relief trucks enter Gaza after ceasefire begins

GAZA, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- Gaza's Government Media Office said 173 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip on Monday, the first day following the ceasefire decision.
The convoy included three trucks carrying cooking gas and six carrying diesel for bakeries, generators, and hospitals, the media office said in a press release.
The quantities are "very limited," meeting only a small portion of the needs of more than 2.4 million residents, it added, urging a sustained, large inflow of aid, fuel, and medical supplies.
Authorities are coordinating with international relief organizations to ensure fair and orderly distribution to all citizens. (end) wab.lr
