WASHINGTON, Oct 7 (KUNA) - US President Donald Trump assured Arab countries on Tuesday that if a deal was reached to end the war in Gaza, the US would do all in power to ensure all parties' abidance by its terms.
"We have a lot of power, and we're going to do everything possible to make sure everybody adheres to the deal," President Trump told reporters in the White House.
"We're in very serious negotiations... And I think there's a possibility that we could have peace in the Middle East. It's something -- even beyond the Gaza situation."
The US leader pointed out that a second American team participating have left to Egypt to partake in the talks over his plan to end the war.
"There's a real chance that we could do something. We are very close to making a deal on the Middle East that will bring peace to the Middle East," he said. (end)
