KUWAIT, Oct 7 (KUNA) -- The UAE Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi on Tuesday presented to Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center the UAE spacesuit, "Tomooh Zayed" logo and belongings from the Mohammad bin Rashid Space Center, related to the UAE's first space mission (2019).
Al-Neyadi, in a statement to journalists during the handover ceremony attended by Director General of Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Science (KFAS), Dr. Amina Farhan, said that he was proud of the level of cooperation and coordination between the State of Kuwait and the UAE in the space realm.
He also expressed pride that the cultural center displays items of the UAE space mission and screens documentaries of the adventure, hoping that the UAE space endeavor would pave the way for creating an inclusive Gulf space program.
There are joint space programs between the UAE and Kuwait, Al-Neyadi added. The UAE items given to the center included video clips showing the space trip by the UAE Minister of State for Youth Dr. Sultan Al-Neyadi to the International Space Station (ISS) and UAE astronauts' training exercises.
