WASHINGTON, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump on Wednesday issued an executive order pledging to guarantee Qatar's security in the aftermath of the Israeli occupation's unprecedented air strikes on the country last month.
The order stated that in light of the continuing threats to the State of Qatar posed by foreign aggression, it is the policy of the United States to guarantee the security and territorial integrity of the State of Qatar against external attacks.
It added that the United States shall regard any armed attack on the territory, sovereignty, or critical infrastructure of the State of Qatar as a threat to the peace and security of the United States.
The move came just a couple of days after the Israeli Occupation's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized to Qatar for the recent attack and killing of a Qatari citizen in a joint call from Trump and Netanyahu during their meeting at the White House. (end)
