Fiery Israeli strikes on Gaza City leave 83 martyrs

GAZA, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation warplanes attacked several districts in the already war-hammered Gaza City on Thursday leaving up t 83 Gazans as martyrs in addition to injuring 216 others.
The local health authorities said in a statement that the hospitals, over the past 24 hours, received corpses of 83 martyrs and treated 216 Gazans who were injured in the series of air attacks on the city.
With the latest casualties, the toll of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression in Gaza Strip has soared to 65,427 mortalities and 167,376 injury cases since early October, when Tel Aviv launched an all-out war on the strip with all types of heavy weapons rendering much of the region into heaps of rubble.
Among the latest batch of the martyrs, there were seven who had fallen while struggling to get a portion of food, as 50 others of this segment suffered cuts.
The whole count of the food seekers' victims has climbed to 2,538 martyrs and more than 18,581 injury cases.
North of the city, the occupation forces continued military operations targeting Sheikh Radwan and Al-Jalaa districts, where the occupiers sent in booby-trapped and unmanned vehicles into the Palestinian'-inhabited areas to set off explosives packed into these vehicles.
Meanwhile, thousands of Gaza city residents have continue to flee in the direction of presumably safer spots in the narrow enclave, fleeing the intensive occupation barrages hammering their homes.
Media reports say that more than 600,000 of the city residents have already evacuated the city, trying to spare their lives in the onslaught, proclaimed by Tel Aviv as intended to crush Hamas movement and release prisoners. (end) aib.rk
