KUNA concludes basic course for new journalists
KUWAIT, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Center for the Development of Media concluded on Thursday the 20th basic program for new journalists that had begun on September 7 and featured lectures by specialists in various journalistic spheres.
The schedule included lessons on news writing, linguistic skills, applying artificial intelligence and photographing.
The course tackled types of news items, their features, contents, sources, forms and the basic elements for writing news and headlines. The lectures also touched on summarization and common mistakes.
With usage of the AI, the participants dealt with forming logos, making pictures, principles of photographic and video taping, lighting skills and types of the lenses and their effects.
The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Center for the Development of Media was established in 1995 with the goal of developing news personnel's journalistic skills. (end)
